Ha'Leigh was born and raised in Maryland. She grew up playing soccer and is the youngest of 5 siblings. Ha'Leigh loves her family and is the fun aunt to 12 nieces and nephews.

Ha'Leigh pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Women Gender and Sexuality studies. During her time in undergrad, she completed an undergraduate research project on the relationship between juvenile delinquency and child abuse, and presented her findings at two different conferences. Currently, Ha'Leigh is obtaining her MSW at Howard University, focusing on Direct Practice in Child and Family Welfare Services.

Ha'Leigh always felt a passion for Child Advocacy, and was introduced to CASA in the summer of 2019 while doing an undergraduate internship with them in her hometown. Ha'Leigh always felt a strong connection to the work done at CASA, and felt that it brought out her strongest passions and convictions. She now works for CASA DC as our newest EMPOWER Program Manager!!

In her free time, Ha'Leigh enjoys playing with her Lab/Boxer mix Remi, trying new restaurants and coffee shops in DC, pretending she personally knows Olivia Benson, and spending time with friends and family.
