Internship Opportunities

Logos for Email Sig.jpg

General Information:

All internship applications must be submitted through this form. We accept interns for the fall, spring, and summer semesters and review submissions periodically. Please note that while the minimum requirement for most internships is one semester, the Field Engagement, Case Management, and Clinical Internships require at least two full semesters or a 10-month commitment.

CASA DC internships are unpaid, although school credit is available. We offer flexible hours and work in a hybrid setting. While the majority of our work is done remotely, there are opportunities for in-person work if desired.

Expectations across all internship roles are as follows:

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in the workplace (virtually and/or in-person)

  • Follow a consistent weekly working schedule

  • Meet with the direct supervisor weekly to discuss action items and assignment/project progress

  • Complete projects and tasks in a timely manner

Why get involved with CASA DC? Help us to support court-involved youth in the District of Columbia. We recruit, train, and supervise community-based volunteers to support DC’s foster youth and juvenile justice-impacted youth. Our volunteers form mentor relationships with youth, assist youth with goal accomplishment and advocate for their best interests in Court. With the help of CASA volunteers, we seek to help mitigate the impact of childhood trauma and help systems-impacted youth thrive.

If you have any questions or would like to get in touch with someone, reach out to internships@casadc.org. Please note that phone calls will not be returned.
