A licensed social worker, Donna has varied experience working in child welfare, including training foster parents and licensing foster homes, providing family preservation counseling to reunify families, developing programs for at-risk youth, supervising volunteer case managers, and working with low-income families to connect them with needed resources to support children in the home.  Donna is no stranger to CASA.  She comes with experience from CASA of Montgomery County.  Prior to coming to CASA, Donna served as the Executive Director of a transitional home for young homeless mothers and an emergency homeless shelter for women and children, where she advocated for children providing wrap-around services and counseled families to keep children out of foster care.

Donna is passionate about her work with children.  When not at CASA, Donna teaches sociology and psychology courses for Strayer University and University of Maryland Global College.  She sits on the board of House of Divine Guidance in continued support of homeless families.  Donna also continues to mentor young mothers and their children who previously resided in the transitional home.   She also enjoys serving with her church, spending time with three children and friends, long road trips, hiking, walks along the beaches of Chesapeake Bay, and all things nature.
